It works. Yes it hurts, but like others said, we don' really have any painless way of removing hair by the root. Shaving and depilatory creams don't remove from the root, and shaving causes stubble. The creams can cause burns and the chemicals are probable really bad for you. Speaking for myself, I can not even find all the little fine hairs on the upper lip with regular tweezers, not to mention I'd be in front of the mirror all day if I could. It is also simply not true that it doesn't work for the longer individual sparse hairs on the chin. I think it works best for those. It can be used without a mirror anywhere you want. The biggest piece of advice is that the pain goes away as the nerves get numb if you don't pull it off after each pluck because you wince in pain. I recommend just keeping it there to remove the hairs in that area and soon you will not feel it. This applies most for the upper lip. Bottom line- it is the best method I have found for ease of use, amount of hair removal, and length of time hair is gone. There is no stubble afterward and the only problem I ever have is redness, as I have sensitive skin.
